Chairman Andy Crawford has unfortunately had to step down due to ill health. Vice Chairman Howard Whitt has taken on the Chairman’s role and commissioner Micky Bacon becomes vice- chairman. In addition we welcome two new commissioners; Tom Rickman and Tim Pullen.

The harbour commissioners are pleased to confirm the appointment of Royden Paynter as harbour master, effective December 22nd, 2015. Royden is a ‘Mousehole lad’ with considerable local knowledge having served as a commissioner for the past eleven years. He was also, until his retirement last autumn, berthing master at Newlyn. We are sorry to announce the death of commissioner Stuart Purnell after a long illness on Tuesday 13th January
Following the untimely death of harbour master Edwin Madron and commissioner David Cotton, the harbour authority are pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Collier, MBE as harbour master and Jesse Walter as commissioner.
In a traumatic week for the community and the harbour authority we have lost two key members of the team; harbour master Edwin Madron passed away on Tuesday 14th October and commissioner David Cotton passed away on Friday 17th October. Our thoughts are with their families and friends. Replacements for both will be notified in due course.
During the unprecedented spate of severe storm this winter, Mousehole harbour did not go unscathed, although we did not suffer anywhere near as much damage as our friends at Porthleven.
