The harbour authority welcomes visiting yachts, although facilities are somewhat limited. Visiting craft should be aware that the harbour dries out and that they should therefore have suitable features (e.g. bilge keels, legs) or allow for taking ground.
The sea bed in the harbour is reasonably level and comprises mainly of sand with some small boulders.
Note that the harbour is closed to all traffic during the winter months (approx. mid November to mid March).
Visiting yachts should contact the harbour master before, or immediately after entry.
A coin operated shower is available at the South Quay toilets during the season.
Fresh water is available but there are no refuelling facilities and no power points.
There is a well stocked village shop, a good pub (The Ship Inn) a good hotel (The Old Coastguard) and several good local restaurants within walking distance of the harbour.
