Harbour Authority Funds Emergency First Aid Training for Local Community

Mousehole Harbour Authority has funded an Emergency First Aid Training course for members of the local community, with fourteen people successfully completing the session last Saturday.

The initiative forms part of the Harbour Authority’s ongoing commitment to promoting safety within the harbour and across the wider village. By investing in practical training, the Authority is helping to ensure that more people are equipped with the skills and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency.

Participants included representatives from a range of local organisations, including Mousehole Harbour Authority, Mousehole Harbour Lights, Sea Salts and Sail, Mousehole Bird Hospital, Mousehole Rowing Club, The Legion, and Solomon Browne Hall. This broad involvement highlights a shared community focus on safety, both on and off the water.

A spokesperson for Mousehole Harbour Authority said: “Supporting this training is a key part of our commitment to harbour safety. By funding opportunities like this, we can help ensure that both harbour users and the wider community are better prepared to respond quickly and effectively when it matters most.”
